Nestled in a peaceful, remote area of San Mateo, Rizal, the House of Jaz is more than just a private resort; it’s a family’s dream turned into reality.
Inspired by their love for travel and the beautiful places they’ve visited, the journey to build this home was far from easy. It involved meticulous selection of engineers, contractors, and materials to create a space that feels like a "home away from home" for their guests. The owners, Evan and her nephew, Jeriko, drew inspiration from the luxurious hotels and resorts they encountered on their trips, aiming to offer a similar sense of comfort and style in a unique, secluded location.
The Vision Behind House of Jaz
The decision to build in a remote area was bold, driven by the desire to create an unexpected oasis for guests. The family, who lived nearby, believed the location would enhance the charm of their private resort, offering visitors a retreat far from the hustle and bustle of city life. "We think the location we chose will amaze the guests upon seeing this house in a remote area like this," Jeriko said.
With the help of Engineer Russel Naval, who managed the structural design, and interior designer Ms. Bambi Gallego, the family brought their vision of a modern, green, and hotel-like private resort to life.

The large windows and sliding doors create a bright and open feel, seamlessly connecting the indoor and outdoor spaces. The balcony, with its transparent railings, offers a sophisticated touch, allowing for clear views of the surroundings.
The house is complemented by simple yet elegant landscaping, while the string lights hanging from the balcony add a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for cozy evenings outdoors.

A Relaxing Oasis
The poolside area of the House of Jaz is one of its most cherished features, designed as a space for holistic health and relaxation. Inspired by the resorts and wellness retreats the family had visited, the poolside was created to offer a tranquil environment where guests could unwind.
Wilcon’s Cifre Tiles were integral in bringing this vision to life, providing a surface that is both safe and stylish. The non-slip tiles ensure that guests can enjoy the area safely, while the P.Tech artificial grass adds a touch of greenery, enhancing the natural feel of the space. Whether it’s a leisurely swim or lounging by the pool, both the owners and guests find this area to be the perfect retreat.

The owners of the House of Jaz wanted to create a warm and inviting space in the dining area where families could gather and create lasting memories. Designed with family gatherings in mind, this space has already been the setting for many memorable moments.
"A family-oriented dining area was our goal," Jeriko explained, emphasizing their desire to foster togetherness and hospitality. The design reflects the family’s values, offering guests a space that feels both intimate and welcoming.
Bathroom:
A Sanctuary of Modern Design
The bathrooms in the House of Jaz were designed with a focus on space, quality, and style. The family’s primary consideration was to create a bathroom that felt luxurious yet practical, a place where guests could relax and rejuvenate. Wilcon’s Grohe faucets were chosen for their elegance and superior quality, perfectly complementing the modern look achieved with Wilcon’s floor and wall tiles. These tiles, with their sleek design and durable finish, not only enhance the bathroom’s aesthetic appeal but also contribute to its functionality.
